Yousef
8 years old · lost 7 kg in 6 months
Yousef's father was a baker. His mother, a teacher. Two years ago, the bombs took their house and his father under the rubble. He now sleeps in a plastic tent with his mother and three younger siblings.
He eats once every two days. Usually dry bread. Sometimes lentils.
"I dream about going back to school. And about eating a whole apple — without sharing it."

Layla was born into war. She has never known a world without bombs. Her older brother died from lack of medicine. Her mother — pregnant, malnourished — cries at night when she thinks Layla is asleep.

Directly to our partner kitchens in Gaza City, Khan Younis and Rafah. We publish monthly reports of every dollar, every meal, every kitchen. Overhead is covered by a separate fund — the entirety of the sale, minus payment processing fees, is used to fund meals.
